How Therapy at Navesink Wellness Center is Different
Whole Person Focus:
We believe meaningful change begins with understanding you as a whole person—not just how you feel today, but how your past experiences, relationships, and environment have shaped your beliefs, values, and responses. All of our clinicians are NWC trained, an approach that comprehensively addresses the root of the issues, not simply alleviating the symptoms.
Personalized Approach:
We work with you—not at you. Every session is built around your goals, your voice, and your pace. Therapy is a space where you’re actively heard and deeply supported.
Support Beyond the Session:
Through our custom HIPAA-compliant MindstreamTM app, we offer ways to stay connected between sessions—so you can track progress, communicate with your therapist, and feel supported in real time.
After years of struggling with body image issues and low self-esteem, I finally decided to seek therapy. Navesink Wellness Center was a recommendation from a friend, and I’m so glad I took that step. In my work, I uncovered the root cause of my struggles and was given the tools to rebuild my sense of who I am and the worth I possess. The center itself is warm, inviting, and serene, which made each visit something I looked forward to. It's clear that Navesink Wellness Center genuinely cares about their clients, and I can't thank them enough for the support they’ve provided me. I’m now feeling more confident and empowered than ever before.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if I should see a therapist?
You don’t need to be experiencing a crisis or have a mental health diagnosis to begin therapy. Women often seek therapy because they feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, disconnected from themselves or stuck in patterns they want to better understand and change.
What mental health concerns do you treat in women?
Our therapists work with women experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, perfectionism, people pleasing, low self-esteem, maternal mental health concerns, ADHD, OCD, trauma, grief and major life transitions. Treatment is individualized based on each woman’s experiences and needs.
Can therapy help with people pleasing and boundaries?
Yes. Therapy can help you understand why setting boundaries, saying no or disappointing others may feel difficult. It can also help you recognize relationship patterns and develop healthier ways of communicating your needs while remaining connected to the people who matter to you.
Do you provide therapy for mothers?
Yes. Our therapists work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, parenting stress, identity changes, relationship concerns, guilt, burnout and the mental load associated with caring for a family.
Do you provide postpartum therapy?
Yes. Our clinicians provide support for women experiencing postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, overwhelm, identity changes, relationship difficulties and other emotional concerns that may arise after having a baby.
Do you provide therapy for professional women?
Yes. We work with women experiencing career stress, professional burnout, perfectionism, leadership pressures, work-life balance concerns, self-doubt and difficulty separating self-worth from productivity or achievement.
Can I come to therapy even if I’m functioning well?
Absolutely. Many women begin therapy while continuing to manage careers, families, relationships and daily responsibilities. Therapy doesn’t require reaching a crisis point. It can provide an opportunity to better understand yourself, address patterns that are no longer working and make changes before things become more difficult.
Do you offer online therapy for women in New Jersey?
Yes. In addition to our in-person offices in Rumson, Lincroft, Hoboken and Spring Lake, virtual therapy is available to clients throughout New Jersey.
Do you accept insurance?
Navesink Wellness Center is an out-of-network practice. Clients pay for services directly, and our team can submit claims to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on individual plan benefits.
