What drew you to this type of work?

I’ve always been the person friends and family turned to when they needed someone to listen. Growing up, I was often called the “therapist” of the group, and I genuinely loved being there for others during difficult moments. That passion deepened when I coached cheerleaders with special needs - an experience that shaped who I am both personally and professionally. That work taught me far more than I could have ever taught them and reinforced my belief in the power of connection, patience, and compassion.

What do you value most in the therapeutic relationship?

In my work as a therapist, I value building a relationship rooted in trust, consistency, and emotional safety. I believe therapy works best when it is a collaborative process - not something being done to you, but with you. Meaningful change happens through authentic human connection, and I feel honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate their unique journeys.

How do you hope clients feel after working with you over time?

My hope is that clients leave our work together feeling empowered, supported, and more confident in their ability to handle life’s challenges. My office is a judgment-free space where you can show up exactly as you are, get comfortable, and share openly. Together, we work toward growth, healing, and a stronger sense of self.

Tara has extensive experience in:

”We honestly could not have asked for a better clinician than Tara. She was absolutely wonderful. Our son was nervous about going into therapy, but somehow Tara was able to make him feel at ease and get him to open up without even realizing he was doing so. Tara made sure to keep us involved in their work together, and provided us with insight as to what we could be doing at home to help encourage his progress. We cannot say enough about how much Tara has helped our son and our family as a whole.“
