About

Kylee

Kylee Wallman is a dedicated psychotherapist with extensive experience in crisis intervention, family systems support, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She has worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families navigating challenges such as trauma, relational conflict, emotional regulation, communication difficulties, and life transitions.

Before joining Navesink Wellness Center, Kylee provided intensive in-home crisis intervention and case management. Through this work, she developed a unique ability to help individuals and couples manage moments of escalation, address difficult behaviors, and reduce ongoing conflict. Kylee works closely with clients to strengthen communication, foster emotional regulation, and support overall emotional development, both individually and within relationships. Her approach empowers individuals and families to identify unhelpful patterns, build healthier interactions, and create more stable and connected relationships.

Kylee’s experience has given her a deep understanding of family systems and the ways relational stress can impact overall well-being. She integrates a trauma-informed and strength-based perspective into her work, in order to make lasting, impactful change.

As a therapist, Kylee emphasizes collaboration and compassion, creating a safe space where children, parents, and couples feel understood and supported. Her goal is to empower families to find balance, strengthen bonds, and create meaningful change together.

What drew you to this type of work?

I was drawn to this work because being attuned to other people’s emotions has always felt natural to me. I’ve always been very aware of the emotions, energy, and unspoken feelings in a room, and over time I realized that this sensitivity wasn’t something to push away— it was something I could use to help others feel seen and understood.

I also have a family member with mental health conditions, which has deeply shaped my perspective. I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming and challenging it can feel to navigate mental health concerns - not just for the individual, but for their loved ones as well. That experience gave me a lot of compassion and respect for how complex this process can be, and it reinforced my desire to do work that supports both individuals and families in meaningful ways.

What do you value most in the therapeutic relationship?

I value honesty, transparency, and meeting clients exactly where they are. I believe therapy works best when it feels real — not forced, rushed, or one-size-fits-all. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe being themselves, even when things feel messy, confusing, or unfinished. I also believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I’m very open about what I’m noticing, what we’re working toward, and how we can adjust things together along the way.

What do you want clients to know before their first session?

I want clients to know that I’m genuinely excited to meet them. I truly enjoy this work and feel honored to be invited into people’s lives during such personal moments. Therapy doesn’t require you to have the “right” words or a clear plan — you can show up exactly as you are. My hope is that sessions feel like a safe space where you can be yourself, feel supported, and eventually even look forward to having a place that’s just for you.
