What drew you to this type of work?

From a young age I felt most fulfilled when helping others. Through various sectors of my career I have had the opportunity to pursue this passion in settings such as oncology, school based programs, private practice, postpartum care and more. My own personal experiences have influenced my drive and passion for empowerment, advocacy and a desire for a meaningful career that focuses on both individuals and their environments.

What do you want clients to know before their first session?

My hope is for my clients to know that it’s not always a bad thing to experience discomfort. When you lean into discomfort and sit with it, with therapeutic support and guidance, growth, confidence and relief occur. Vulnerability, self reflection and therapy can be very uncomfortable at times but when processed in a safe and nurturing environment, tremendous self growth can be achieved. I continue to strive to create  a therapeutic space that promotes healing, resilience, and growth for those seeking support through their most challenging times.

How do you work with both the present day concern and its deeper origins?

From our first session I work hard to develop a trusting and supportive relationship and therapeutic environment that serves as a foundation for further exploration into present day concerns and their deeper origins. This process, in my experience, takes time, trust and self awareness/ exploration.

Who might benefit most from working with you?

Individuals navigating anxiety, depression, long term illness, parenting and/or relationship stressors and life stressors/ transitions.

How do you hope clients feel after working with you over time?

Over time it is my hope that clients feel as if a weight has been lifted off their chest as they begin to process and explore presenting challenges and deeper rooted beliefs that bring them to where they are today. I pride myself in fostering a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment in sessions and strive to help my clients feel heard, validated and empowered.
