What do you value most in the therapeutic relationship?
I value a therapeutic relationship that feels real, safe, and grounded. Trust matters, and so does being able to show up honestly, ask hard questions, and sit with uncertainty together. I believe therapy works best when it feels collaborative rather than directive and when clients feel respected as the experts on their own lives. My goal is to create a space that feels supportive and genuinely human.
What drew you to this type of work?
I’ve always been interested in how people make sense of their experiences, especially the parts that feel confusing or hard to put into words. Personal and family experiences also played an important role in drawing me toward a helping profession, giving me an early understanding of how meaningful it can be to feel heard, supported, and understood. Over time, that curiosity and experience grew into a desire to help people better understand themselves without feeling judged or labeled. The work that feels most fulfilling to me is creating a space where people can show up as they are.
What do you want clients to know before their first session?
Starting therapy is a big step and can feel overwhelming, and I want clients to know that there is no pressure to have everything figured out before the first session. You don’t need to know exactly what to say or where to begin. The first session is a chance to get to know each other, talk about what brought you in, and begin building a space that feels safe and supportive.
What kind of work excites you most as a clinician?
The work that excites me most is helping people feel more connected to themselves and more confident in navigating their lives. I’m especially drawn to working with individuals who are moving through big transitions, complex emotions, or the lasting impact of stress and past experiences. I value creating a space that feels safe, genuine, and supportive, where clients can explore who they are, build self-understanding, and feel more grounded and empowered over time.
