Meet The Team
Nikki P. Woods, MSW, LCSW
Founder of NWC & Psychotherapist
Nikki Woods is a highly-sought after licensed clinical psychotherapist and founder of the Navesink Wellness Center. After earning her Masters Degree at New York University, Nikki dedicated her career to studying the intricacies of the developing female mind. In her practice (both locally and globally), she empowers mothers to better support their daughters’ development, and assists women of all ages in channeling their own voice – one built on self awareness, acceptance and love.
Her intuitive and insightful approach helps clients gain a greater sense of self worth, pursue life goals, improve relationship dysfunction, establish a more defined identity, and celebrate their own unique assets and capabilities. Her work has been featured in top publications such as Forbes and Inc. She works with patients both locally in Rumson, New Jersey as well as globally via her remote psychotherapy offerings.
Therese Bonanni, MS, RDN
Thérèse Bonanni MS, RDN, has worked as a Clinical Dietitian at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City and Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. She practices evidenced-based medical nutrition therapy including but not limited to: weight management, metabolic disorders (pre/diabetes), pre/postnatal nutrition, GI-related conditions (Celiac Disease, IBS/IBD, GERD) and cardiovascular issues (hypertension, high cholesterol). Thérèse provides customized meal plans, recipes and food journal analysis, among other services. She is passionate about teaching her clients that nutrition is about all you can eat, not what you can’t.
A former editor for Prevention magazine, Thérèse also created and developed recipes for The O2 Diet, Slim Calm Sexy Diet and The New You & Improved Diet books, which have appeared on The Rachael Ray Show and Access Hollywood. Her work has also appeared in Women’s Health, Reader’s Digest and Shape magazines. Thérèse holds a B.A. in Communications from Boston College and Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Tamieka Bugam, PMHNP
Tamieka is a double board-certified psychiatric mental health and family nurse practitioner. She brings 16 years of experience treating physical and mental health disorders across the lifespan. Tamieka obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry in New Jersey/Ramapo College, and later earned her Doctorate and Masters degree from Wilmington University. Tamieka has continued her education in Healthcare Management through Cornell University.
Tamieka has diversified experience with treating acute and chronic disorders including eating disorders, PTSD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression. She believes that for each individual the enjoyment of the highest attainable standard of health is one of the fundamental rights of every human being.
Andrea Cernero, MA, LPC
Andrea is a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Towson University and Master’s Degree from Seton Hall University. In addition, Andrea completed a Post Master’s Program in Advanced Counseling at Montclair State University. Andrea has experience working as a counselor in the school setting at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as in the clinical setting providing intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient counseling services.
Andrea is passionate about providing therapy to clients who would like to explore personal difficulties that impact their sense of well-being. Andrea has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults. Among her areas of expertise are assisting clients with anxiety, depression, self harm, family changes, and suicide prevention.
Andrea has utilized the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model to facilitate counseling groups for teens focusing of teaching interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, & distress tolerance skills to reduce their symptoms of anxiety and depression. Additional Training: Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Lifelines Suicide Prevention Trainer, & Mindfulness Fundamentals Program.
Stephanie Conti, MS, LAC, NCC
Stephanie is a Licensed Associate Counselor with clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with psychiatric, dual diagnosis, trauma, developmental, and behavioral health issues. She is bilingual in English and Spanish. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, Stephanie achieved her Master of Science Degree from Monmouth University.
Stephanie’s counseling experience ranges from Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient clinical settings to in-home and nonprofit organization settings. As therapist, she delivered crisis intervention, individual, and group counseling services for clients in recovery from trauma, substance abuse, and general mental health illnesses. She also provided individual and family counseling services to children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as, in-home therapeutic interventions for preteens with developmental disabilities. Stephanie applies research-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients. Furthermore, her certifications include Trauma Informed-Approach, Telehealth, and Sand Play Therapy.
Suzanne Chrebet, PMHNP
Suzanne is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). She
earned her Master’s of Science in Nursing through Monmouth University’s Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. Suzanne provides comprehensive mental health assessments as well as diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of mental health disorders.
Through her knowledge and experience, Suzanne is dedicated to finding the best treatment for each individual as she believes that each individual is much more than a diagnosis.
Brigid Laudermilch, MSW, LCSW
Brigid is a licensed clinical psychotherapist who specializes in working with adolescents, teenagers and adults. She earned her Master’s Degree from New York University and has dedicated the past twenty five years of her career assisting individuals to gain a greater understanding of their emotional and behavioral reactions as well as practical strategies that help along the way.
Brigid’s seventeen years of experience working in a school setting has honed her skills with executive functioning deficits, symptoms associated with autism, school refusal and much more. She also specializes in behavior management and treatment of symptoms associated with anxiety and depression. Brigid’s approach is practical, solution-focused, collaborative and creative using out of the box methods. She is passionate about helping people improve their most important relationships, which includes their relationship with themselves.
Michele Newman, MSW, LCSW
Michele is a licensed clinical psychotherapist who specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults as they navigate through life’s challenges and transitions. Michele has earned her Master’s Degree from Adelphi University, and has dedicated the past ten years to working with individuals and their families. Michele has extensive experience treating anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, impulse control, self image and identity issues. She has a comprehensive understanding of utilizing sensory play activities to address social and emotional distress associated with trauma
Michele’s approach to therapy is client centered, as she assists individuals to determine the direction and depth of therapy. Michele is highly skilled at offering her clients the tools needed to reframe thought processes to not only increase self actualization and identity, but to also optimize individual strengths needed to achieve personal goals. Christiana Rutkowski, MS, LAC, NCC
Christiana is a Licensed Associate Counselor who specializes in working with adolescents, teenagers, and adults. Christiana received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Seton Hall University and Master of Science degree from Monmouth University.
Christiana has experience working in both private practice and outpatient settings, using interventions based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Christiana also loves incorporating journaling, art therapy, and ecotherapy into the therapeutic experience, and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship throughout the process.
Jenna Zemachson, MSW, LCSW
Jenna Zemachson is a Licensed Clinical Psychotherapist who specializes in working with adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona, and then earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from New York University. After completing her Master’s, she went on to attend a four-year Post Graduate Program at The National Institute of the Psychotherapies, where she was certified in psychoanalysis and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
Jenna believes with the right psychotherapy, one can face any life challenge head on and develop the insight and skills to grow from them. She has an empathic approach that allows the space for her patients to look within and do the necessary work to improve their lives. She has extensive experience helping individuals cope with occupational conflicts, relationship difficulties, lack of self esteem, and overall dissatisfaction, frustration and anger. Jenna has dedicated her career to helping individuals develop a sense of self that feels confident and at peace, while freeing up the roadblocks interfering with their ability to create the life they always wanted.
