Callie Brown is a dedicated and experienced clinical psychotherapist. Her passion and commitment to aid individuals struggling with life transitions, goal setting, emotion management and stress has led her to this field of work.

Callie primarily serves the populations of late adolescents, emerging, early and middle adulthood. With a strong academic background, Callie earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, both from Georgian Court University (GCU). Callie has experience working in a college counseling center and intensive trauma outpatient program. Her experience in these settings allows for greater understanding of the whole individual allowing Callie to create brave spaces for the populations she serves.

Callie has completed the 32-hour DBT Core Training with Essie Larsen, PhD. Callie employs a personalized approach in her counseling practice, integrating cognitive-behavioral, dialectical behavior, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based interventions. Her goal is to meet each client at their unique stage of development, fostering mental well-being, enhancing performance, and helping individuals navigate life challenges.

Additionally, Callie specializes in working with youth, high-school and collegiate athletes, along with other like-minded individuals. In her extensive experience, Callie has demonstrated a profound understanding of the emotional toll, pressures, and expectations faced by students, athletes, and other high-performing individuals. She is skilled in guiding them through these challenges, providing support to navigate the complexities of their roles.

Callie’s deep connection to athletics is evident in her background as a player and coach. She played lacrosse at both the DIII and DII levels, transferring to GCU after her first year. Post-undergrad, she served as the head coach of a local high school lacrosse team for two years. During her master’s program, Callie took on the role of Graduate Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at GCU. Her coaching experience extends to seven years in club lacrosse, highlighting her commitment to nurturing young talent in the sport.

Callie Brown is not only a skilled professional but also a compassionate advocate for athlete mental well-being, demonstrating her dedication to the holistic development of individuals in the world of sports and performance.
