Tara Engelhardt, MSW, LSW

Tara Engelhardt is a Licensed Social Worker who graduated from Alvernia University with her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and from Monmouth University with her Masters in Social Work with a Concentration in Clinical Practice with Families and Children. During her clinical experience, she knew she wanted to work with children and families. Tara has experience working with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults and families. She also has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, substance use disorders and trauma.

Tara strives to provide a safe space for her clients which promotes understanding, acceptance, and personal growth. She uses a holistic approach individualized to each of her clients throughout her practice. Tara recognizes the importance of the impact of mind body practices on a client’s overall mental health and wellbeing. Tara utilizes aspects of several therapeutic approaches in her practice such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness based practices.

Through her experience, Tara has learned that we are all resilient and can grow into the people we want to be with the appropriate support and validation from one another. Tara celebrates the importance of self-love and self-acceptance in the therapeutic process, aiming to empower her clients to be the best version of themselves.
