Nikki Woods, MSW, LCSW
Nikki Woods is a licensed clinical psychotherapist and the Founder of Navesink Wellness Center. After earning her Masters Degree at New York University, Nikki Woods went on to acquire advanced training in a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Couples Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Mindfulness.
It is through her education and experience that Nikki has recognized her passion for helping others become more self aware and fulfilled. Nikki has made it her mission to provide treatment that evokes trust, empathy and understanding towards those she encounters. She is devoted to helping others to acknowledge their strengths while identifying and altering their vulnerabilities. Her supportive, intuitive and insightful approach helps clients to gain a greater sense of self worth, pursue life goals, improve relationship dysfunction, establish a more defined identity and celebrate their own unique assets and capabilities.
Andrea Cernero, MA, LAC
Andrea is a Licensed Associate Counselor who specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. She received her Bachelor's degree from Towson University and Master's Degree from Seton Hall University. In addition, Andrea completed a Post Master's Program in Advanced Counseling at Montclair State University. Andrea has experience working as a counselor in the school setting at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, as well as in the clinical setting providing intensive outpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient counseling services.
Andrea is passionate about providing therapy to clients who would like to explore personal difficulties that impact their sense of well-being. Andrea has extensive experience working specifically with children and adolescents. Among her areas of expertise are assisting clients with anxiety, depression, self harm, family changes, and suicide prevention.
Andrea has utilized the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) model to facilitate counseling groups for teens focusing of teaching interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, & distress tolerance skills to reduce their symptoms of anxiety and depression. Additional Training: Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Lifelines Suicide Prevention Trainer, & Mindfulness Fundamentals Program
Michelle Smith, CMT, LMT
Michelle is a highly skilled practitioner that has traveled the world to experience and master various modalities of treatment. Michelle has become well regarded throughout all athletic arenas, having specialized in preventative care and treatment of injuries with professional golfers, football players and boxers.
Michelle is also one of only a handful of individuals who are certified in New Jersey to practice Jin Shin Do®, making what she does an incredibly unique experience. Her knowledge of the body and its ability to heal has made her one of the most sought-after practitioners in her field.
Michelle has earned the highest certifications in Jin Shin Do®, Cupping, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Reflexology, and Reiki. She has a deep knowledge for medical massage and has dedicated much of her career to helping individuals with chronic physical pain, autoimmune disease and physical / emotional stress.
Born and raised in NY, Munire is riding the wave of change. A firm believer that if you want big rewards you got to take big risks. Munire took a leap of faith and moved to NJ, bringing her love and passion of yoga down to the shore. Munire completed her yoga+meditation teacher training in 2010, at the Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in NYC and is certified through Yoga Alliance.
Munire is passionate about yoga’s deep healing nature, particularly the way in which it allows the possibility of creating a healing relationship with our bodies through movement and mediation and the freedom for our spirit to thrive. Munire is an eternal student who has infinite love and gratitude to all her blessed teachers. Munire is grateful and honored to be able to guide and share the gift of Yoga + Meditation.
Nicci Hafer, CH
Nicci Hafer is a Consulting Hypnotist and Spiritual Guidance Mentor. Her practice specialties are Integrated Imagery Regression Hypnosis and Positive Reinforcement Hypnosis. She is especially interested in helping uncover the blockages that hinder individuals from becoming the best version of themselves. Additionally, she assists individuals in identifying the talents, qualities and affinities each person brings into this life in order to fulfill their own specific purpose.
Nicci earned her BA in Religion from Dartmouth College, where she was also the point guard and captain of the women’s basketball team. She has also recently earned her MA in Transpersonal Psychology at Atlantic University, which is affiliated with the Edgar Cayce Association for Research and Enlightenment (A.R.E.); having also completed training in Matrix Energetics.
Hailing from Southern California, fitness is her forte. From tee-ball to competitive softball after high school, she has been an athlete her whole life and continues to search for ways to challenge her body.
Before Navesink Welness Center, she was a committed gym rat with her most recent emphasis on lifting weights. Body building led to an increased awareness of anatomy, muscle isolation, and proper form. With certifications in Pilates, TRX, and Megaformer/ LaGree Fitness method, her knowledge of the body and body mechanics is substantial, and ever growing.
Nicole’s compassionate and supportive demeanor make her clients feel at ease as she encourages them to reach outside of their normal boundaries and challenge both their minds and bodies.
Thérèse Bonanni, MS, RDN
Thérèse graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Communications and earned a Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. After a semester in Paris peaked her culinary interest as an undergraduate, Thérèse became an Editor at Rodale Inc. in New York City, cultivating her passion for nutrition and health. While editing Prevention Special Interest Publications, including Flat Belly Diet!-branded, Women’s Health and Men’s Health-branded publications, she also worked with Rodale’s test kitchen on recipe development and managed food photography shoots on a mission to portray healthy food as appetizing and approachable as possible.
Thérèse is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, a Certified Nutritionist and member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has interned for Keri Glassman, MS, RD, CDN of Nutritious Life, volunteered in the Clinical Nutrition Department at NYU Langone Medical Center and for City Harvest, where she taught after-school cooking classes and assisted with cooking demonstrations at farmers’ markets. She has also worked in restaurants and event catering.
