Integrated Massage Treatments
“BEST OF 2019″ AWARD RECIPIENT”
At some point in our lives, we learn to repress unwanted feelings – we store them away out of our conscious mind as a way to protect ourselves. However, these repressed emotions always find a way to resurface, but in a much less direct manner. Sometimes we feel it through chronic physical pain, through an overwhelming sensation of stress & tension, or constant frustration and unease. Through Integrated Massage Therapy, we work to release the physical and emotional tensions built up in our bodies to promote balance, deep relaxation and greater awareness of self. This service truly works to alleviate congestion in the body, bringing about a deep relaxation and increased awareness of both the body and psyche. As a result, one begins to feel transformed – learning to let go of the armoring that keeps injury, physical pain and emotional chaos present in our lives.
Based on your specific needs, this customized massage treatment will include any or all of the following modalities:
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy involves gentle manipulation and pressure placed on the sutures of the cranial bones. These adjustments are believed to restore balance to the nervous system and surrounding structures that support it. This therapy works to help alleviate discomfort caused by tension headaches and migraines, as well as pain in the neck and lower / upper back. Craniosacral work has also been proven to assist in releasing emotional stress and anxiety by re-establishing the rhythmic flow of the cerebral fluid.
Gentle yet deep finger pressure applied to specific areas throughout the body. This modality promotes a deeply meditative experience as congestion is carefully released from the body. This acupressure enhances the mind-body connection & enables an individual to become more mindful and present within oneself.
Castor Oil Treatments
Castor Oil is a very unique and specialized technique to help promote healing within the body. The oil is placed on specific areas of the body under special heat to help stimulate detoxification, reduce joint pain and arthritis, boost immunity, reduce swelling, increase circulation and support the lymphatic system.
Cupping therapy involves placement of therapeutic cups throughout the body. The air inside of these cups is removed to create a vacuum type attachment to the bod. Through the utilization of this negative pressure, fluids are encouraged to move more readily throughout the body. In removing this congestion, there is an immediate relief from pain and discomfort.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Lymphatic massage is a gentle pressure technique used to move the waste fluid from the damaged areas of the body. The lymphatic system – comprised of 500 to 600 lymph nodes – is the body’s filter system for dangerous toxins and disease-promoting bacteria. For this reason, the health of the lymphatic system is crucial to the body’s ability to heal. MLD works to help regenerate tissues to reduce scarring at surgical incision sites, reduce swelling and detoxify the body, reduce inflammation that causes disease such as arthritis, improve the function of the immune system, increase the production of antibodies that fight off infection and promote relaxation by reducing discomfort.
Specialized treatment to focus on specific areas of the body that are experiencing acute or chronic pain due to injury or illness. Gentle yet effective massage will be utilized to alleviate congestion, minimize discomfort and enhance blood flow.
Restorative Hot Stones
Restorative hot stones are utilized as a complimentary addition to the massage experience. The stones work to relieve muscle tension and pain by increasing blood flow to specific areas of the body. The warmth and comfort of the hot stones help to ease the body and promote overall relaxation.
Specialized Massage Treatments
Golfer’s Massage Treatments
This specialized massage works to increase circulation that assists in removing metabolic wastes that can accumulate in muscles due to overuse and the repetitive motion of the golf swing, reduce muscle spasms, trigger points and adhesions that need to be addressed to help prevent injury and improve quality of movement, improve range of motion and muscle flexibility resulting in increased power and performance, alleviate symptoms of injuries associated with golf – golfers elbow, epicondylitis, plantar fasciitis, etc., decrease anxiety and stress levels, and improve mental focus
Prenatal massage is a healthy and relaxing way to reduce stress and promote overall wellness. Massage during pregnancy can help to alleviate pain and discomfort, encourage blood and lymph circulation and revitalize energy and mood.
